The following tables were prepared from the U.S. Bureau of the Census, County to County Migration Flow Files on CD-ROM, Special Project (SP) 312. These files present data for non-movers, movers within counties, and all county-to-county migration between 1985 and 1990 for all persons five years and over in the United States.

Definitions:

In-Migrants from Abroad - Persons who lived in the State and county on April 1, 1990, but were residing in a foreign country, Puerto Rico, or an outlying territory in 1985.

In-Migrants from other counties – Persons who lived in the county on April 1, 1990, but were residing in a different county in 1985.

Out-Migrants – Persons who lived in the county in 1985, but in a different county on April 1, 1990.

Within County Movers – Persons whose 1985 and 1990 residence were in different locations with the same county.

Non-Movers – Persons who did not move during the 1985 to 1990 period and those who may have moved but by April 1, 1990 had returned to their 1985 residence.
